Make no mistake about it, the WWE Network represents a huge risk from Vince McMahon. Pay-Per-View providers, who have enjoyed the numbers wrestling has pulled in over the years, were outraged when McMahon revealed he would be launching his own business model, one which would pretty much cut them out of the profits. It's taken years for the Network to even become a thing, but it's a brave new direction for WWE. If the entire concept fails, it's likely they can simply waltz back onto traditional Pay-Per-View, it's not really the providers who are the problem. More so, fans are quickly becoming accustomed to having so much content for way less than the price of one standard PPV. If the WWE Network does start to fail, McMahon has a huge task on his hands convincing his audience to revert back to the way things used to be. By shaking things up with the Network, Vince has pleased a lot of people, the service does represent terrific value for money, but there's always that niggling worry about 'what if?'. Would fans be happy to go back to more traditional methods, buying old events on DVD and getting newer content via Pay-Per-View?
