10 Times WWE Did Something You Never Thought Possible

6. Brought Edge Back From Retirement And Turned Him Heel

This entry is essentially buy one get one free, as Edge has found himself accomplishing two impossibilities in the last few years. But what else can you expect from the Rated R Superstar.

When Edge retired in 2011, it was enough to make every wrestling fan cry. The thought of going on without Adam Copeland was heartbreaking, and it stayed that way for a while. But then, Edge found himself able to perform again and poured everything he had into an in-ring return.

This led to arguably the greatest Royal Rumble surprise entrant and return of all time. He came back to WWE in full force and blew the industry's collective mind. Impossible moment achieved? Check!

But, there was more to come.

Once Edge was full-time again - after his unfortunately timed injury - it seemed he'd be a babyface forever. The idea of fans booing a man who had clawed his way back to doing what he loved after ten long years seemed crazy, but if you've been watching Raw lately, you know that's the case.

WWE made the impossible decision to turn Edge heel, and it's been going swimmingly. His faction is delightfully devilish, and while he still gets plenty of cheers, fans seem to be responding to his heel persona the right way. Second impossible moment achieved? Double-check!
