10 Way Too Early Card Predictions For WWE WrestleMania 43
6. Drew McIntyre Winning A Ladder War
The ever-dependable Drew McIntyre is set to take some time away from WWE screens to film a new Highlander movie and probably rest his weary bones after losing to Jacob Fatu at 'Mania 42. It's been a whirlwind journey for Drew as a character since his earliest WWE Title reigns back between 2020-2021. The strife and struggle he's gone through is partly why fans respect him so much.
Bank on McIntyre returning (whenever that is) as a babyface hero with harder edges. He doesn't actually need to change a thing about his presentation. People will be in his corner no matter what, because everyone will simply be chuffed to bits to see him again. Oh yes, this hot Scot has top babyface written all over him.
It's been a long time since Drew was involved in the hunt for the Intercontinental Title. You'd have to go back to his celebrated wars with Gunther and Sheamus for that. Historically, the IC belt is super important to McIntyre. It was one of his first trophies in WWE when he was bursting onto the main roster as a Teddy Long-hating heel 'Chosen One', so going after it again would be somewhat of a full circle moment for the guy.
Drew has the agility to work well within a similar ladder context to the one Penta and others dazzled with at WrestleMania 42. Watching him scale the ladder to haul down what's considered a real worker's prize would get the blood pumping over in Saudi.
