10 Way Too Early Card Predictions For WWE WrestleMania 43
7. Sami Zayn vs. Kevin Owens
Chapter 18,472 incoming.
Initially, it was temping to put Sami Zayn in a World Heavyweight Championship match. That's been on the rumour mill for a while, and it might be why Sami turned heel recently as part of an angle with newborn baby Trick Williams. Is a slow burn redemption story coming that'll peak with a Zayn title triumph in Saudi Arabia?
Not in this article. Nope, he's pencilled in for yet another clash with on/off pal/enemy Kevin Owens. Poor KO has had to sit on the sidelines and miss the past couple of WrestleMania supercards. A serious injury robbed him of the chance to work with Randy Orton at 'Mania 41 (he was replaced late in the day by Joe Hendry), and Owens wasn't back in time to get something going for 42 either.
Surely he'll be back in the mix and available for 'Mania 43. Surely.
If so, then it'd be really cool to give these great friends a showcase they'll never forget. Sami and Kev have worked countless matches against one another, and they've even shared some WrestleMania goodness as a tandem, but this would hit different. Plus, the cool thing here is that Zayn would be the villain of the piece.
Plonking them in some sort of 'Street Fight' or 'No DQ' match seems logical. Who knows what state KO will be in physically going forwards, but he'd trust Sami more than anyone to keep him safe out there and still deliver one heck of a match both can be proud of.
Roll on chapter 18,473.
