10 Worst Wrestling PPV Concepts Ever

8. WWF Wrestlemania IV's Championship Tournament

For a lot of fans, Wrestlemania IV is one of the worst 'Mania cards in history, all because of the heavily-hyped WWF Championship Tournament which dominated the show. Promoted as an event which would pit 14 elite WWF Superstars against one another, whittling down the brackets until two men would battle it out for the belt, the idea sounds fine in theory. Sadly, what transpired in Trump Plaza was a pretty darn boring tournament, which really didn't help the show overall - when the main crux of the show isn't getting fans excited, there's a problem, and the rest of the card can't really be relied on to prop things up. One of the main issues with the tournament was that fans didn't really believe many of the guys involved could feasibly win it. Out of the 14 entrants, only Hulk Hogan, Andre The Giant, Ted DiBiase and Randy Savage were really taken seriously as potential winners, rendering a lot of the matches ultimately meaningless to the fans.
