9. Jim Ross Was Jealous Of Jesse Ventura's Salary In WCW
Leaving the company in 1990, Jesse Ventura has only appeared sporadically in the WWF/WWE ever since. His work as an announcer alongside Gorilla Monsoon for big events such as WrestleMania VI has long been lauded, and Ventura felt he could do more good work in WCW. Signing with the promotion in the early-90's, 'The Body' worked alongside the likes of Jim Ross regularly. Right from the off, Ventura and Ross struggled to really click as an announce duo. Recently, Jesse himself has put that down to the fact he was being paid a lot more money than Jim Ross to broadcast. Due to his star value in the World Wrestling Federation, Ventura was able to command an extremely healthy contract. According to him, that didn't sit well with Ross at all. As a consequence, Ventura feels there was some degree of resentment and jealousy from the future WWE Hall Of Fame inductee. Jim Ross would go on to join the WWF himself in 1993, which was a relief to Ventura. The duo simply never saw things the same, making the gig more stressful for both. In Ventura's mind, Ross was jealous of his superior pay packet, and it strained their relationship.
