How They Entered The Wilderness:

Never settling for anything less than 10000%, The Ultimate Warrior engaged fans the world over with his awesome power and visually striking facepaint/gear.

Nine years of glorious madness eventually came to a roaring end when Warrior left WWE for good in 1996. He'd no-showed a few events to grieve over the death of his father, who McMahon claimed Warrior hadn't seen for 'ten years'. Given this reasoning, the boss didn't buy it and terminated his contract.

Warrior then explained that he left the company because of a contractual breach as the then WWF had been selling Warrior's merch without giving him a cut.

How They Came Out:

Spending nearly 17 years away from Vince McMahon's empire, The Ultimate Warrior eventually let bygones be bygones and agreed to be the pre-order bonus for WWE 2K14.

With the fans onside with his appearance in the game, WWE took the decision to induct Warrior into the 2014 class of the Hall of Fame and the man appeared at WrestleMania XXX and the Raw after 'Mania.

He gave a rousing promo on Raw that ignited an adoring crowd, but it would turn out to be Warrior's last ever live appearance as he died a day later.

Even though the man looked short of the epic figure we knew back in the day (appearing frail throughout WrestleMania weekend) WWE managed to bury the hatchet and give us all a touching moment with a larger than life character we didn't think we'd see again - before we never would.
