10 WWE Superstars Who Better Call Paul (Heyman)

3. Kofi Kingston

The New Day might be a fresh start for Kofi Kingston, but it represents just how far the man's career has fallen in the past few years. Since 2010, it seems that all Kingston has done is find a creative way to avoid elimination in the annual Royal Rumble match, and prove to be someone the promotion can rely on to provide a solid, watchable match. There was a time when Kingston was jousting with the likes of Randy Orton - in 2009, fans were all over the Ghanaian, and it looked for all the world like he was about to propel to the top of the card as WWE's next true main event star. Believing various reports, Orton wasn't exactly enamoured by working with Kofi, and before fans could shout 'Boom!', he was back in the mid-card scene treading water. At only 33, there is still time for Kingston to make the kind of impact he'd like, but it needs to happen soon. When Paul Heyman was in charge of the Smackdown brand, performers like Kofi Kingston were promoted heavily, just look at the man's treatment of Edge, Rey Mysterio and even Chavo Guerrero for evidence of that. Kofi has a lot of strengths, but one of them is not forming a throwaway stable with other struggling stars.
