101 Shocking Wrestling Plans You Won't Believe Almost Happened

73. Erick Rowan Cares For A Tiny Woman

Actress Jyoti Amge almost bagged herself some work with wrestling's market leader in 2020. 9 years prior, she'd been confirmed as the world’s smallest living woman. At just 2ft 2/3 inches, she would've fit neatly inside the cage that Erick Rowan began carting around the place pre-pandemic.

Instead of going with that, WWE introduced a big pet spider that Drew McIntyre squashed on an episode of Raw. Clearly, that wouldn't have been the plan for Amge. Drew wasn't going to Claymore Kick her into the third row on live television. Hopefully! You couldn't trust WWE with that sort of thing under Vince McMahon.

If she'd gone in the cage, Jyoti would've been someone Rowan doted on. He'd have been booked to be ultra-protective of her and fend off anyone who threatened to harm Amge. Quite why they'd even want to is honestly anyone's guess. Does WWE have a roster of wrestlers who enjoy bullying tiny women who happen to live in covered cages, or something?

None of this made any sense whatsoever.

Typically for McMahon's final few years as head of creative, his team didn't have a proper fleshed-out plan for where any of this was going. They had Erick carry around the cage without knowing what would be revealed in the end. Spider? Tiny woman? A prototype replica title that WWE Shop hadn't started selling yet? His private stash of candy bars?

It was all very latter day WCW, and that isn't gushing praise. Attention, writers: Have a conclusion before you put something on camera.
