101 Shocking Wrestling Plans You Won't Believe Almost Happened

98. Braun Strowman Literally Empties The Ring

To win a Battle Royal, one must tip various stars over the top rope to the floor. It's an established way of going about things, and so is the old trope of a giant worker hitting the ring so everyone can gang up on them to solve some major (collective) headache. Then, as pictured above, you'd see guys like Braun Strowman shrug them off like a dog shaking its coat.

Braun has said several times that he suggested tipping the ring over to eliminate everyone in a Battle Royal. Yep, he never wanted to enter the squared circle at all. Instead, big burly Strowman thought it'd be a super cool visual if he simply lifted up one side of the thing and sent everyone tumbling to the ringside mats.

Obviously, he'd have needed some sneaky assistance for that. WWE would've had to lift the ring via hydraulics, then give Braun the means to give it that final little nudge. Further, all of the workers taking a spill would've had to be near one side of the ring so it was easier and made sense that they'd fall all the way out.

Strowman tipped trucks and cars during his time as a monster heel on TV, but they stopped short of having him win a trusty Battle Royal via this unique method. Hey, that could've been a neat way of whizzing through those old 'Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royals' that nobody really cares about anymore.

Bet creative team members thought about doing this with Andre, Mark Henry, Big Show and others over the years.
