8. The Undertaker's Desire To Wrestle With Top Workers
When The Undertaker wrestles, he wants it to be against the very top workers. That's why you've seen him working with the likes of CM Punk, The Shield and Bray Wyatt in recent years. He also reportedly wanted to work Daniel Bryan at one point heading into WrestleMania 30. The reason Taker wants to wrestle 'the workers' in WWE, is because he wants to be seen to be having a great match. Given the stroke that he has with Vince McMahon, he's usually able to get the opponent that he desires. What will attract Taker to Owens is that it is an opponent who can work and look tough. That's the other thing that Taker likes, he wants to work with legitimate style tough guys. Hence why he jobbed to Lesnar at Mania 30, it was the notion that he at least lost to a fighter. Owens brings everything to the table that The Undertaker wants to work with, perception of toughness and genuine in-ring ability. If Taker has been watching recently, he'll possibly be putting a call into Vince and identifying Owens as the one for next year.
