The pressure has built rapidly on Lio Rush and the rest of the newly-rebranded NXT Cruiserweight Division to deliver bangers on the reg following a Full Sail firecracker early into the USA Network era of the show.

Yet again, the 205-and-under crew surpassed even lofty expectations.

Angel Garza has been one of the standouts of the show in recent weeks, with his tearaway pants gimmick drawing the eye into a working style reminiscent of the Cruiserweight Classic's headiest highs.

He can p*ss people off by being so f*cking handsome too. Ripping away his togs right in front of Rush's family, Garza brought the rage out in rush, leading to a beautiful counter of the Champion's second rope stunner when he attempted it too early.

He eventually managed it after an exhilarating exchange of can-you-top-this creativity, but the efforts of both were cheapened by the aforementioned finish that favoured neither of them.
