WWE could've saved that 'No Holds Barred' effort between Nikki A.S.H and Charlotte Flair for pay-per-view. That, if placed in the midcard scrum at SummerSlam, would've been fine - instead, Rhea Ripley will join the warring pair as a third wheel in a much-less-interesting Triple Threat on 21 August.

The good news from this week's Raw? There was nothing uninteresting about the hidden gems.

Fans caught a glimpse of how much somebody can change in five years, and a whole host of superstars caught bumps, bruises and cuts. Then, there was Nia Jax. Shayna Baszler's pal wore the proverbial crimson mask throughout her bout with Rhea, and you really need to check out close ups of that; y'know, if you miss blood or something.

Elsewhere, MVP did his best Vinnie Mac impression, AEW stars (sort of) cameo'd on WWE TV, fans in Chicago rebelled by chanting for some other former employees, The Miz screwed up a line from his promo and Riddle's pyro almost blasted people in the front row.
