Perhaps more than any other single wrestler, Sabu is synonymous with Extreme Championship Wrestling - however, he left the promotion briefly in 1995 to join the decidedly-less-hardcore WCW. After receiving a hype video on the first episode of Nitro, Sabu lost on the second to Alex Wright via DQ (after putting him through a table, of course). He would defeat Mr. J.L. (Jerry Lynn) at Halloween Havoc, but was released shortly thereafter and was back in ECW by November to Remember.
