WCW management were extremely high on Jerry Tuite. Wrestling as 'The Wall', the big man was an imposing physical specimen, one ideal for his initial bodyguard guise. Protecting Alex Wright, who had been reborn as 'Berlyn', The Wall excelled in the role. It was clear he had more to offer, if only WCW's top brass would let him. At one point, The Wall was scheduled for a feud opposite Hulk Hogan, but the idea would never really get off the ground. Instead, he later joined the comedic 'Misfits In Action' faction, along with the likes of Bill DeMott and Chavo Guerrero. Reamed 'Sgt. A.W.O.L' (or Sgt. A-Wall), The Wall became a happy-go-lucky giant who always tried to Chokeslam opponents through nearby tables. When WCW went out of business, Tuite's contract was swallowed up by the WWF. Signing a developmental deal, the big guy would leave the company without ever making his debut. From there, he appeared during the early months of TNA's weekly Pay-Per-Views, but sadly was found dead in 2003. A heart attack was determined as the cause of his passing.
