Baron Corbin told Trick Williams that he isn’t getting another title shot unless Lil Yachty can last 5 minutes in the ring with him at SNME. For the record, that's Sunday Night's Main Event, not the usual Saturday slot. Yeah, pretty much the same old deal here since these lads started bickering - the feud isn’t interesting, Yachty isn’t likeable, and Trick needs to get the hell away from both of them for his own good.

There’s no need to continue this program, there really isn’t, but here we are doing it.

Worse, despite clear evidence that Yachty would be better served as a heel elsewhere so Trick can get on with his babyface push, we're out here using the rapper as a means to push his own babyface agenda. Those who have been paying attention to the booking thus far can forgive Corbin for wanting to squash Yachty like a bug. He's been a perpetual nuisance in Baron's matches with Williams, and the musician has been hammering Corbs with that kendo stick whenever he gets the chance.

This is going to be a disaster unless Yachty busts out some remarkable Bad Bunny-esque performance in a few weeks. That remains to be seen, and it's wishful thinking that wouldn't save the story anyway. Perhaps the only decent thing about the entire segment on Friday is that Baron said that furry United States Title belt was "getting a haircut". Good, because even putting it back on Trick at this point would do nothing for him.

Eek.
