What's Going On With Trick Williams After Controversial SummerSlam 2026 Loss? (WWE News)
Big things could be on the horizon for WWE's Trick Williams...
While some fans were a little surprised to see Trick Williams lose the WWE United States Championship to Baron Corbin at SummerSlam this past weekend, it appears that there are "bigger and better things" in the future of the hugely charismatic Trick Willy.
Per WRKD Wrestling, WWE has been talked about as a potential winner of the men's Money in the Bank briefcase.

Of course, the winners of the Money in the Bank matches get a shot at the top champion of their choosing, being able to 'cash in' that championship opportunity whenever they see fit, often without any notice.
Beginning life in 2005 and debuting at WrestleMania 21, the Money in the Bank ladder match has been a springboard for so many talents to be elevated into the World Championship scene, as perfectly highlighted by the inaugural MITB winner, Edge, successfully cashing in later that year to win his first World Title; the first of what would go on to be 11 World Titles.
Of the 36 Money in the Bank wins so far - including the men and the women - that's led to 28 people successfully cashing in to become a World Champion. One caveat is that WrestleMania 23's Money in the Bank winner Mr. Kennedy lost the briefcase to Edge, with the Rated R Superstar eventually going on to cash in against the Undertaker to become World Heavyweight Champion. The first person not to cash in and win a title was John Cena back in 2012, when Big Match John cashed in against WWE Champion CM Punk. While Cena did defeat Punk on that night, he did so by disqualification after Big Show interfered, and a title cannot change hands on a DQ. As for the first person to outright lose after a cash-in, that was Damien Sandow in 2013, as his cash-in on John Cena during a promo segment led to Cena putting Sandow away with the Attitude Adjustment. Interestingly, all eight female Money in the Bank winners have successfully cashed in to become a World Champ.
The point being, when someone wins Money in the Bank, history shows that they've an extremely good chance of becoming a World Champion, including various people whom MITB was used as a way to get them to their first World Championship. And if Trick Williams is being discussed as an early favourite for this year's men's Money in the Bank match, that's a hugely positive thing for Trick.
