3 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Clash In Italy (Results & Review)

1. Jade’s Best WWE Match To Date

WWE

Jade Cargill has had a checkered record with her matches in WWE. Many have been lacking, but several have played to her strengths and resulted in solid showcases for the powerhouse wrestler.

Sunday’s Clash in Italy battle with Rhea Ripley was a notable upgrade from their WrestleMania 42 match, with the WWE Women’s World Championship match getting 17 minutes (as opposed to 10 at 'Mania). Jade and Rhea were able to stitch together longer sequences, with Cargill methodically using her strength to overpower Ripley (and then do push-ups to show off), and Ripley responding with her own mix of speed and power.

Both women battled for their signature moves and finishers, countering each other repeatedly until Jade turned a Riptide into a DDT and followed up with a Blue Thunder Bomb. Rhea could continuously avoid Jaded and managed to overcome Michin and B-Fab with a little help from Charlotte Flair. The Queen repaid the Baddies’ interference by putting Rhea’s foot on the rope.

Rhea getting the pin with a Riptide after the outside interference from all the seconds worked well, giving Mami a big win in a high-profile rematch. While this wasn’t a great match, it was the best one on the card Sunday night and probably was the best version of a Jade/Rhea match.
