Fans who never saw Joe Hendry before his WWE main roster run should be forgiven if they think he’s a horrendous songwriter who only entertains children with his compositions.
While not as bad as his duet with Danhausen, Hendry’s last two offerings on Raw have been far from entertaining, with last week’s mockery of JD McDonagh’s giant head managing to not only knock Joe down a peg, but Je’Von Evans caught a stray when he wore a Funko Pop head into the arena as a gag.
Monday night, WWE unveiled a new song from Hendry, titled “Give Joe Hendry Every Single Belt (Right Now),” playing a snippet that included the line, “No need for defenses, you can just hand them over.”
Correct us if this is wrong, but isn’t Hendry a babyface? Why is he putting out a song like this? Hendry is a talented performer, which is what makes this even more frustrating. It feels as though someone on that crack writing team is penning these little songs, effectively muting Joe’s creativity and forcing him to perform their subpar material.
