2. Women’s Tag Action Thrives

Bayley and Lyra Valkyria vs. Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss looked good on paper, and it was executed well inside the ring. There's a lot of experience and lots of titles between these women, so anything less than decent would've been a disappointment. Honestly, matches like this bode well for the Fatal-4-Way at ‘Mania. There, Nia Jax and Lash Legend defend vs. both of these teams and The Bellas.

Being honest, this bout showcased the best teams who will be involved, and that’s likely why it was so watchable. Flair and Bliss generally seem to be having some serious fun when tagging together, and things are looking positive on the other side of the ring now Bayley's split personality thing has calmed a little. There's always the threat of that looping back around in the long run though.

Lyra works as someone who can take most of the punishment before tagging in a fired up Bayley. They can switch that formula occasionally too, which just goes to show how strong a package they are. Oh yes, some of the female tags WWE has knocking around nowadays rule. Charlotte and Alexa, Nia and Lash, Bayley and Lyra, Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY when they're teaming - it's a strong lineup.

The Bellas will have to take notes on matches like this and follow suit if they want their twin comeback to matter, but they'll surely be bit part players for 90% of the action in Vegas anyway (whether they win or not). The good news is that the quartet here, along with heel work from Jax and Lash, can carry proceedings come WrestleMania.

In short, rock solid match and well worth your time.
