2. Bron’s Insecurity Continues To Bleed Out

WWE

WWE is billing the upcoming Oba Femi versus Bron Breakker match as one that will likely determine who is the future of the company, but it’s pretty obvious (in a good way) where it’s headed.

The real story behind this clash of two young guns is Breakker, whose insecurity has been put on full display throughout this feud. During Monday’s contract signing, Bron tried to cut into Oba by asking what had he done to earn the mantle of the future of WWE, then immediately ticked off two major accomplishments: retiring Brock Lesnar and winning the King of the Ring tournament.

Breakker immediately pivoted to noting that Femi entered the company just as Bron went down with an injury – adding that he took himself out because no one in the back could have sidelined him – meaning that Oba was only in this current position because Breakker got hurt.

Oba suggested that had Breakker debuted at any other time in recent WWE history, he probably would have dominated and been the anointed future of the company, but “Bronny boy, it’s 2026, and you have the unfortunate privilege of running up against me.” Femi continued his string of promo over-deliveries, adding that the “dogs are barking, but they’re barking up the wrong tree… you are outclassed at every step.”

Breakker then turned to his biggest strength: his wrestling. He threatened to drag Oba into the deep waters until his lungs didn’t have air and his legs gave out, which was a smart line since only one of Femi’s main roster matches has gone longer than eight minutes (Bron’s had four go at least 19 minutes this year alone).

An Austin Theory sneak attack backfired, with the tag champ getting sent through the table, but the story here – in addition to the rising tension between Femi and Breakker – is that Bron is keenly aware of his “spot” quickly slipping away while he pals around with The Vision, and he’s been reduced to making excuses and trying to psych himself up while yelling at Oba.

There will be a wake-up call for Breakker coming soon, and it will be interesting to see how he responds when that reality hits.
