Drew McIntyre is the next in line to challenge Cody Rhodes on WWE's coming Clash In Paris PLE. Most would agree that the 'Hot Scot' is a fine choice for the role, especially after witnessing his menace play out towards the climax of this week's SmackDown. A killer spot and some supreme facial expressions from McIntyre told the full story of his desperation to reclaim gold.

Triple H also lined up an interim bout for John Cena before he meets the returning Brock Lesnar. Logan Paul finally gets his wish - he'll tangle with 'Super Cena' over in France, and that should be a tidy effort too. Indeed, SummerSlam fallout and lining up some tasty bouts for Clash was at the forefront of WWE's minds on Friday's show.

Sami Zayn stopped by to get a Montreal-sized pop, Chelsea Green clowned herself like only she can (that woman knows her role, eh?!), Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss continued to work miracles by making the former an actual bonafide babyface, and there are even new contenders in the tag-team division.

Downsides came in the form of spotty logic on the women's side of the fence. Tiffany Stratton came across as the bittiest of bit part players on SmackDown, and then the writers made Michin look like a moron. Similarly, the writing did Carmelo Hayes no favours elsewhere. Finally, those who'd hoped R-Truth comedy would give way to Ron Killings-led seriousness should be concerned.

Here's all the good and bad from a largely fun outing for the blue brand in Canada.
