5 Ups & 7 Downs From WWE Raw (18 May - Results & Review)
3. Another Bite At The Apple
The reunion of the Bloodline has been a mixed bag at best, but at least they’ve gone all-in on trying to push Jacob Fatu as a legit threat. Whether you rate Fatu as a top-tier guy is another thing.
Monday, Fatu beat Roman Reigns to the punch and called the Tribal Chief out. The Usos ran interference, interceding and drawing Jacob into a brawl until Reigns attacked, making it a three-on-one assault. The Bloodline finally took control and tied Fatu up in the ropes, needing everything they had in their arsenal to finally put him down for the moment.
That assault drew fans to Jacob’s side, chanting for him as he repelled their attacks and kept advancing until the numbers proved to be too much. While Fatu will very likely fall short in the long run again, this run has established him as the clear babyface and a guy who can and will stand up to Roman and the Usos – even if he’s forced to acknowledge the Tribal Chief.
He might not fully level up to a main event guy, but Jacob Fatu has been presented as a threat, and fans have responded to him.
