Onto the good, and there was thankfully more of it than bad.

Damian Priest and R-Truth vs. Fraxiom was never going to pull up trees, but it was functional in a good way. Axiom and Nathan Frazer at least got to show off some of their zippy style and did some high-flying, then Truth and Priest rallied to retain their tag belts. These dudes have something nice simmering as champs, and these one-off title defences are working, but they’ll need a proper fleshed-out feud soon before things start to get stale.

A match like the one vs. Fraxiom was fine for now. It was pretty harmless content, which isn’t always a bad thing. Every wrestling show needs a few 7/10 segments to pad it out, and that's what the title clash represented. Again, no complaints - seeing Frazer and Axiom fly around the place like the rent was due conjured up memories of how hot the SmackDown doubles division was before The Wyatt Sicks and MFTs took over from Fraxiom, Los Garza, Motor City Machine Guns, The Street Profits, DIY etc.

In that sense, Priest and Truth running routine title defences and the latter doing his best John Cena impressions mid-match should be considered an improvement. It's clear that Frazer and Axiom are going nowhere fast as a duo on this brand though, so a move to Raw or back down to NXT might be in the offing for them.

Next stop: Finding credible challengers for Priest and Truth who can get them on PLE.
