5. 'PartnerHausen' Incoming

Last week, Danhausen took a little spooky trip to The Miz and Maryse's house to cause all sorts of mayhem for the power couple. He even stole their kid's bike and thought Miz's vehicle was a spaceship. All in a day's work for your friendly neighbourhood Hausen, huh? It was knowingly OTT comedy, but that "knowingly" part made it work. WWE went hammy deliberately, and Miz is great foil for Danhausen anyway.

This week, there was yet more merriment involving Danhausen, Miz and Kit Wilson. No, this comedic story won’t be for everybody, but it’s a good use of all 3 guys and is giving them a story thread to follow week by week. Now, Miz and Wilson team up to take on Danhausen and a partner of his choosing at Backlash. Their work on SmackDown was perfectly acceptable setup for that, to be honest.

It'll be fun to find out exactly who will be Danhausen's partner on PLE. Perhaps someone already on the SmackDown roster will buddy up with him for one night as 'PartnerHausen'. It won't be a top star, obviously (no CodyHausen here), but it could well work for somebody further down the card. For example, would anyone be opposed to Joe Hendry-Hausen? The charismatic Scot would find a way to make that work, and some of his interactions with Danhausen could be gold.

Failing that, at least the build towards the tag is a barrel of laughs. WWE's writers aren't taking this seriously, and that's why it's clicking with fans. They're in on the joke and like Danhausen, so it doesn't feel forced like wrestling comedy typically does.
