Then, there's this storytelling masterclass.

Jey Uso and Sami Zayn have been killing it lately. The story, which has jealous Jey fuming over Roman's apparent acceptance of Sami, makes perfect sense. In 2020, Jey got his balls booted before falling in line, but some outsider who isn't even blood can just waltz in with a smile?

This is top, top characterisation, and it might well be the best tale currently being told in pro wrestling. It's even better because it refuses to insult long-term viewer intelligence by rewriting past events or pretending that prior story beats didn't happen.

The way the camera zoomed in as Jey pulled Zayn aside to offer a not-so-friendly warning was stunning, and Sami barging past Uso to go into "their" dressing room worked too. Hell, everything these guys do is working at the moment.

Long may it continue.
