Ooooooh boy.
WWE just revealed the chief problem with booking two pay-per-views between Royal Rumble-WrestleMania. Their booking on the latest SmackDown, whilst definitely writing that'll move things towards a satisfying eventual conclusion, p*ssed from a great height on Sunday's Elimination Chamber pay-per-view.
Being honest, and regrettably, that show is hardly worth watching now. There wasn't a midweek nightmare in sight that could top WWE putting its own Chamber special in the 'totally skippable' bracket. The card will still have some solid matches on it, and the titular gimmick itself is always a fun watch, but man...they could've shown some patience with the bigger story arcs here - that wasn't too much to ask.
On the plus side, Daniel Bryan is ticking again, the blue brand's tag division looks like it has some actual promise, and there was a midcard heel turn to enjoy that gives someone much-needed direction. Plus, and this should not be overlooked, a certain legend joined the commentary desk to provide a fresh voice that complemented Michael Cole and Corey Graves.
No, it wasn't Paul Heyman, although he was awesome too...
