6 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Raw (3 Aug - Results & Review)
4. What Are We Doing With Breakker?
Someone needs to let WWE creative know that Bron Breakker is nowhere near heated up enough for a meaningful feud with Oba Femi.
Breakker came face to face with Femi Monday night after Oba talked about leading the next generation of superstars into the future. There is a genuine feud that could be fantastic if done correctly, but WWE is approaching it at the wrong time.
Bron is ice cold right now, mired in a tag team with Austin Theory, serving as the heavy for a flailing stable that currently revolves around Theory necking with girlfriend Maxxine Dupri. Breakker has lost his major singles matches this year, including against CM Punk and Seth Rollins.
Now is not the ideal time to stick these two together, as Oba is clearly on the ascendance and Bron is stuck in the mud. If WWE wanted to make this potential feud mean something, they’d spend a good six months rehabbing Breakker before revisiting this.
However, if WWE is merely using the brief staredown as a catalyst for Bron to begin that rehab process, and they’re really not going to start feuding just yet, then that would be a decent move.
