To date, Batista has held the WWE Title twice and the old World Heavyweight Championship on 4 different occasions. Further to that, the man has also experienced 4 different reigns as a Tag-Team Champion in the company, and won the Royal Rumble twice (2005 and 2014). Crash-landing on the main roster in 2002, Batista's first gig was to accompany the Reverend D-Von to ringside. Known as 'Deacon Batista', the future World Champion looked uncomfortable in the role. It wasn't long before he was moved from Smackdown to Raw, where he'd join Triple H, Ric Flair and Randy Orton in forming the 'Evolution' stable. Things progressed quickly from that point. The entire purpose of Evolution was to prepare Batista as a headliner, giving him the rub of working with top names like 'The Game' and the 'Nature Boy'. A lengthy run as a main event star followed, before the guy elected to depart WWE in 2010. A return in 2014 wasn't well-received by the audience, and Batista left again later that same year. Recently, there's been discussion online about the potential for yet another comeback. This article explores exactly why that shouldn't happen, and gives reasons why it's unlikely to occur anytime in the near future. A lot would have to change before 'The Animal' became a WWE Superstar again.
