7 Ups & 0 Downs From WWE SmackDown (15 Nov - Results & Review)
Roman Reigns falls apart pre-Survivor Series: WarGames on an excellent WWE SmackDown.
There's literally nothing negative to say about this week's episode of SmackDown.
Sure, some will look at the 0 'Downs' count and say perfect wrestling shows are impossible, but...you've got to call 'em like you see 'em. It'd be silly to actively invent flaws if they don't stick out. Dunno, maybe watching that lifeless Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson farce makes one appreciate the thrills and spills of pro wrestling even more. Their embarrassment to the sport of boxing might well have something to do with putting things into perspective!
WWE's latest was an excellent two hour watch. There was more Bloodline fun, and Triple H's creative team added a fifth member to Solo Sikoa's side that left Roman Reigns, The Usos and Sami Zayn reeling. Then, one short skit right at the end of the broadcast teased that the walls are closing in on Roman. A fleeting promo from Monday's Raw will prove to be rather important, put it that way.
Character development and build towards Survivor Series: WarGames ruled the day. WWE kicked off their Women's United States Title tournament in fine fettle, LA Knight was handed a brand new challenger for the men's version of that belt, Tommaso Ciampa teased a split from Johnny Gargano (or a heel turn for both?!), and Cody Rhodes called out Kevin Owens.
Fans will have to wait until next week for that, which is fair enough. There was plenty to enjoy on Friday's episode anyway, and it's always nice when promotions take their time with key stories rather than rushing through them just because they can.
Here's all the good. No negativity needed.
