8 New Directions For WWE After Backlash 2026

7. Danhausen Befriending His Rivals?!

Don't rule this out or scoff at it.

There’s something oddly good-natured about the Danhausen character. Could there be something in him actually aligning with The Miz and Kit Wilson as unlikely partners?! If handled properly, that might well be the strangest stable going, but there'd be something off the wall and zany about it. Besides, yours truly isn't sure where else WWE go with the story if that isn’t on the cards.

It isn’t like Danhausen vs. Miz or Wilson one-on-one has much juice for PLE. No, the sort of comedy on offer at Backlash won’t be for everybody, but it was a well-worked ‘let me up’ bout and definitely deserved its place on the card. All of the 'Mini-Hausens' coming out of the silly 'Cloning Machine' got a pop from the live crowd, and heels like Miz or Kit are ideal for such silliness.

Generally, Danhausen and Miz have shown excellent chemistry whether they're working in-ring together or producing comedy skits back at the latter's plush house. It'd be a pity if Triple H fancied moving on already. Not everybody reading this will agree with that, but Hausen's moments on SmackDown and PLE thus far (debut aside) have worked a treat.

Another option would be Danhausen appropriating Miz TV to get his own talk show interview segment. That, way more than actually working matches, is the character's future in the company. He can add a ton to the product without trading moves or even wrestling very many bouts at all.

Someone who's genuinely funny is like gold dust in WWE.
