8 New Directions For WWE After Survivor Series: WarGames 2025
8. Finding A Big Feud For Stephanie Vaquer
Nikki Bella was a fine enough speed bump challenger, but Stephanie Vaquer really deserves a fully-fleshed feud that can roll over a few months to work with as Women’s World Champ. Satisfying stories and great character work are how people get over around here, and it’s important WWE realises Stephanie needs that right now.
She is over to a point, of course, but badly needs a landmark rivalry.
Every great title reign needs one of those. She's actually in a similar position to Ilja Dragunov over on SmackDown with the United States Title: Both are excellent workers, and Triple H knows he can rely on them to produce matches that never drop below passable, but the pair require a little seasoning so they don't get boring. Again, it's character and storylines that matter in WWE. They always have.
Survivor Series should be a one and done situation between Vaquer and Bella. It's blatantly obvious that Trips would be doing Nikki a huge favour by dropping her into the tag-team scene for a while, and there isn't much chemistry between she and Steph to necessitate a rematch. It'd be super boring if they were lazily slapped onto SNME just for the sake of it.
Maybe WWE are sitting around waiting on a WrestleMania challenger to emerge from the Royal Rumble for Vaquer. Fair enough, but that's around 2 months away, and that's simply too long to tread water when she's already been doing just that since bagging the belt. Give her a blood feud, please, and quickly.
