8 Times WWE's Triple H Was A DISASTER-TIER Booker

8. Bringing Back Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar's return at SummerSlam 2025 was one of the most shocking moments of the year. It takes a lot to unite wrestling's polarized global fanbase, but this decision was met with universal disapproval. Not only is Lesnar named multiple times in Janel Grant's ongoing lawsuit against Vince McMahon and WWE, but it's also a fact that Brock's work in WWE has been lacking for what seems like an eternity.

Formerly one of the biggest box office draws in wrestling, Brock Lesnar hasn't had a great feud or match in years. The decision to bring him back was bad, but Triple H's creative for Brock in 2025 did enormous further harm to his already wavering reputation. Lesnar destroyed John Cena at WrestlePalooza, presumably to have a more sports-based superstar looking strong on the company's first ESPN broadcast.

This only succeeded in pissing off WWE's fanbase. If the idea is to have Lesnar look strong to elevate up-and-coming talent in 2026, defeating an aging John Cena did not achieve that. It's hard to imagine anything Brock Lesnar-related pleasing WWE fans moving forward, and this whole debacle feels misguided at best, and legitimately damages the idea that this is a new WWE in the post-Vince McMahon era, at worst.
