9 Things SummerSlam Must Do To Eclipse NXT Brooklyn

6. Give Ambrose And Rollins The Win

Speaking of good storytelling, WWE currently has a genuinely gripping story on its hands in the form of the on-again, off-again re-alliance of Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins.

This one’s essentially been brewing since June 2014, when Rollins first turned his back on Ambrose, though the roots of their friendship date back to November of 2012 when they first debuted as the Shield. That kind of longevity makes this angle mean so much more, and this Sunday at SummerSlam the next page of their story will be written when they challenge Sheamus and Cesaro for the Raw Tag Team Championships.

You could argue it’s too soon to cash-in on such a big payoff, but given the symbolic fist-bump on Raw this past week, the timing just feels right to pull the trigger now and make them tag team champions.

Plus, it’s the kind of payoff that’s totally worthy of a stage the size of SummerSlam.
