Having lost the AEW World Championship to Kenny Omega on last week's Beach Break edition of Dynamite, it appears that MJF could be set for some time away from TV.

This comes from Fightful Select, who asked what the current plans were for MJF at this month's Redemption PPV, only for it to be indicated that the Salt of the Earth may well be off TV for "a period of time". It was reiterated in this report that this is far from a confirmation that Max is due for a hiatus, and there was no time frame given for any such break, but it is understood that, regardless, he'll still be a part of All In next month. For what it's worth, MJF was not on last night's Dynamite.

Originally, MJF was due to defend the AEW World Title against Kenny Omega at Montreal's Bell Centre on July 26th, but that was brought forward to last week's Dynamite; a move MJF reportedly pushed for. Given that AEW's biggest revenue stream is its TV deal, the thought here was to have a major moment and title switch on its Dynamite flagship.

As for Redemption, last night's Dynamite saw Kenny Omega agree to put the AEW World Championship on the line against Kevin Knight at that upcoming PPV. Elsewhere, the other announced Redemption matches as of this writing are Thekla defending the AEW Women's Title against Willow Nightingale, Mark Davis defending the AEW National Title against Andrade El Idolo, Kyle Fletcher defending the AEW International Title against Bandido, Adam Copeland and Christian Cage defending the AEW Tag Team Titles against Claudio Castagnoli and PAC, and Chris Jericho bringing back his Painmaker gimmick to face Tommaso Ciampa.
