What was he doing at the time?

Like Tajiri, The Brian Kendrick was called in for the Cruiserweight Classic to appease lapsed 'Ruthless Aggression' viewers because Paul London wasn't picking up the phone or something, but he'd already been back in the fold for roughly 18 months. In December 2014, Kendrick started producing matches for NXT, balancing his behind-the-scenes responsibilities with those in front of the camera for various North American independents before going full-time with WWE.

What is he doing now?

Still getting by without sending much of a shockwave through the industry.

The former Cruiserweight Champion called time on life in WWE when he successfully requested his release from his producing role in early 2022, which was quickly followed by the announcement of his AEW debut opposite Jon Moxley, and even more quickly followed by the announcement of that match's cancellation. It transpired that Brian Kendrick was a conspiracy theorist, and his abhorrent views on sensitive topics such as the Holocaust and the Sandy Hook massacre were unearthed in the wake of Tony Khan posting the Kendrick/Moxley match graphic.

His bills are now paid by working various lower-class indies around the world, his most recent being a booking for Pro Wrestling Power in Queensland, Australia on 11 July.
