The 2000 Rumble match was another one that saw The Rock stand out as the MVP of the match. This came at a time when Rocky was arguably at his most popular, with him having become the companys biggest babyface after Steve Austins injury issues. The Peoples Champion was exactly that, and it really did show at this PPV. Entering at #24, The Rock would only actually be in the match for 15 minutes, but this was a Rumble that, whilst well put together, didnt really see any particularly lengthy outings for any of the bigger names. In fact, it was Test and Gangrel who were in the match for the longest, but this battle royal was all about The Great One. Overcoming The Big Show, who himself had his best Rumble showing by far, The Rock would get the win, although his title shot at WrestleMania 2000 would be shared with Show and Mick Foley in a four-way elimination bout for Triple Hs WWF Title.
