Former AEW Champion STILL Hasn't Signed New Contract... (AEW News)
This AEW star's contract with Tony Khan will run out imminently, but there's no movement!
The Wrestling Observer's Bryan Alvarez has been keeping tabs on Jack Perry's contractual status in AEW. Last month, Alvarez reported that Jungle Boy hadn't inked an extension, and that his deal with Tony Khan's company was set to expire soon. Now, Bryan (reported via WrestlePurists) has revealed that Perry still hasn't agreed to fresh terms with All Elite.
His contract runs out imminently, so both sides better get a move on here.
Khan broached the subject during a media call to promote the recent Forbidden Door 2026 pay-per-view in late-June. There, Tony complimented Jack's work, said he's very important to AEW, and confirmed he plans to have Jungle Boy remain on All Elite's books for as long as possible.
Time is running out on that. Of course, there's a chance that both Perry and Tony are keeping calm about things because they've got a verbal agreement behind the scenes. That could be the case, but it'd be for the best if Jack was literally locked into something on paper.
Rumours persist that his head could be turned by what's happening over on the WWE side. However, Jack has some...history with reigning WWE Champion and top star CM Punk, so it'd be interesting to find out if that hampered his chances of signing with the market leader.
Khan has openly stated his desire to keep Perry on the AEW side anyway, but Alvarez has made it clear that nothing has been signed, sealed or delivered on that front quite yet. There's still time, but the clock is ticking.
