Could CM Punk Veto Jack Perry Signing With WWE? (AEW News)

Does CM Punk have the power to stop any WWE move for Jack Perry?

Following recent reports that Jack Perry's existing AEW deal is "up" and negotiations are underway on the talent remaining with Tony Khan's promotion, that's thrown up the speculative question of whether Jack could potentially weigh up a move to WWE.

While it appears for all intents and purposes that both Perry and AEW are keen for the 29-year-old to remain #AllElite, the subject of Jack in WWE came up on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, and, in particular, whether CM Punk would have any say in vetoing a WWE move for the AEW Original.

On that matter, Dave Meltzer said that he didn't think Punk would have the power to shoot down such a WWE jump for Jack Perry. And though Meltzer fully expects Jack and AEW to agree a new deal, he added the classic "anything is possible" in pro wrestling, though also noted that wrestlers like Perry typically don't do well in WWE.

Of course, CM Punk and Jack Perry have plenty of history together, culminating in that night at Wembley Stadium back in 2023; a night that would effectively be the Second City Saint's last night with AEW.

As for Jack Perry, he's an AEW Original, having debuted with the company at its inaugural show, Double or Nothing 2019. Over the subsequent seven years, Jungle Boy has gone on to have success both in singles action and tag action, becoming an AEW Tag Team Champion, an AEW TNT Champion, an FTW Champion, and, most recently, an AEW National Champion.
