From Montreal's Bell Centre, AEW Redemption 2026 has 11 matches announced for today.
In the expected main event, it's Kenny Omega making the first defence of his recently won AEW World Championship, where the Best Bout Machine puts his gold on the line against TNT Champion Kevin Knight. A match somewhat randomly thrown together in quick fashion, this one nonetheless has the potential to be an absolute barnburner, with the long-time standard-bearer of AEW going up against one of the hottest rising prospects in the business... in a contest that was actually reportedly pushed for by none other than MJF.
Where the top women's prize is concerned, AEW Women's Champion Thekla puts her title up against uber-babyface Willow Nightingale, with Willow looking to finally win that title for the first time. And for the winner of this one, there's the small matter of defending that prize against Mercedes Moné at All In next month.
Elsewhere, in other title matches, Hikaru Shida defends the AEW TBS Championship against Maya World; Adam Copeland and Christian Cage look to retain their AEW Tag Team Championships against the Deathriders' Claudio Castagnoli and PAC; AEW International Champion Kyle Fletcher has ROH World Champion Bandido gunning for him; and AEW National Champion Mark Davis has the tough task of facing Andrade El Idolo. There's also title implications in a car-crash six-man ladder match, where Jack Perry, the Beast Mortos, Komander, 'Speedball' Mike Bailey, Nick Wayne, and El Clon go at it to become the new number one contender for Fletcher's AEW International Title. Well, depending on if Kyle gets past Bandido, of course.
Away from those title contests, Chris Jericho is bringing out his old Painmaker gimmick to battle Tommaso Ciampa in a No Holds Barred offering, Jay White and Juice Robinson face fellow Bullet Club alums David Finlay and Clark Connors in a double chain match, and the Young Bucks find themselves going up against the Deathriders duo of Jon Moxley and Will Ospreay, all as tensions continue to quietly simmer away between the Deathriders and the Elite.
As announced on last night's AEW Collision, the Redemption Zero Hour pre-show will see the Conglomeration's Orange Cassidy, Kyle O'Reilly, and Roderick Strong take on the Lethal Twist trio of Jay Lethal, Blake Christian, and Lee Johnson, and who knows, maybe another match or two will be added to the pre-show - or possibly main PPV card - by the time bell time gets here later today. After all, when looking back at AEW's other 2026 PPVs so far, they've each had either 12 or 13 matches across the entire evening, so it wouldn't come as any surprise to see another match sneak its way onto the Redemption line-up.
