Omos just wrestled his first WWE match since the 5 April 2024 episode of SmackDown. The Wrestling Observer noted that the gigantic star made a surprise appearance on an NXT live event in Columbus, Ohio on Thursday night (9 October) and beat Lexis King in a short squash-style bout.

Again, this is his first since working an Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal on the 'WrestleMania SmackDown' last year. Since then, Omos has been working as part of an agreement WWE has with Pro Wrestling NOAH in Japan. He's also wrestled on the AAA side, although his only match in Mexico came on the Triplemania XXXIII card in August.

Omos hasn't exactly been prolific since his last WWE showing. In total, he's worked just 9 matches since that April 2024 date. Most of them have come as part of a tag-team alongside UK indy star Jack Morris, which must go down in recent industry history as one of the least-expected unions!

WWE inked fresh terms with Omos earlier this year, but there's no word on whether or not he'll use this NXT house show match as a springboard back onto television. Vince McMahon once seemed interested in pushing the big man as his new giant, but things have slowed significantly for him since Triple H assumed control.

By all accounts, Omos is well liked within WWE circles and can cite legends such as AJ Styles and The Undertaker as mentors who have his best interests at heart. Fans will just need to wait and see if his company career reignites soon.
