Having not been in a WWE ring for 16 months, the hulking Omos made a surprise appearance at AAA Triplemania XXXIII last night.

A surprise entrant in the 14-man Copa Bardahl battle royal, Omos entered at #13 and won the match, last eliminating La Parka to get the victory. That's the third La Parka, with the La Parka gimmick being brought back this past May. The original La Parka, best known to US and international audiences for his time as the Chairman of WCW during the '90s, is wrestling these days under the L.A. Park name, whilst the second La Parka tragically passed away in 2020 after an in-ring accident.

For Omos, as alluded to, he's not been seen in WWE since April 2024. More specifically, his last WWE match was as part of the Andre the Giant Battle Royal on the SmackDown before WrestleMania 40. That's not to say the Nigerian Giant has been completely inactive in the time since then, for he had a brief spell competing for NOAH in Japan at the turn of this year.

Viewed as somewhat of an excursion, that stint began at NOAH The New Year on 1 January, with Omos and Jack Morris defeating Naomichi Marufuji and Takashi Sugiura for the GHC Tag Team Titles. Omos would wrestle six further matches for NOAH, the last of which being on 25 January, and he'd then vacate those GHC Tag Titles, with many believing he'd be called back to the United States to be back in action with WWE.

However, for whatever reason, Omos has yet to resurface in WWE since that NOAH run came to an abrupt then, though it could well be that this Triplemania appearance will lead to an imminent WWE return. Of course, that remains to be seen, as the 7'3" monster may get a run in AAA after his Copa Bardahl win.

In other Triplemania news, and specifically more Copa Bardahl news, WWE's Otis also made a surprise appearance in that battle royal, making an immediate impression by eliminating Aero Star. In Otis' case, he's not been seen since being decimated by Rusev back in May. It was subsequently reported that the Alpha Academy man had undergone arthroscopic surgery on his elbow.

Triplemania XXXIII also saw the announcement of the next Worlds Collide crossover event, with that set for Friday, 12 September from Las Vegas' The Pavilion at the Thomas & Mack Center. Tickets go on sale this coming Friday, with Worlds Collide confirmed for a 10pm Eastern start time, meaning it will start immediately after that night's WWE SmackDown.
