Following recent rumblings that Mick Foley could be on his way to AEW, there's now a little more on the Hardcore Legend potentially becoming #AllElite.

Following a Sports Illustrated report that there is "real" interest from AEW in bringing in Foley, Dave Meltzer has commented on that topic on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio. Meltzer stated that he hadn't heard of the three-time WWE Champion agreeing any deal with AEW, but noted that it would make sense for Foley to land in AEW, and that he thinks the Micker would "like to" get something over the line with Tony Khan's promotion.

It's worth noting that those initial reports of AEW having interest in Mick Foley were not for the Micker to wrestle, but for him to be used in some other capacity, even just for a one-off appearance. With Double or Nothing 2026 taking place this weekend from Queens, New York's Louis Armstrong Stadium, which is close to where Foley grew up in Long Island, things have certainly lined up nicely for an appearance by the WWE Hall of Famer.

While not directly under contract with WWE, Mick Foley is still signed to a WWE Legends contract. That Legends deal is due to expire in June, and Foley has publicly stated that he won't be extending that arrangement due to WWE and TKO's relationship with US President Donald Trump, particularly after Trump's grotesque comments about the death of actor and director Rob Reiner. It's worth noting that WWE Legends deals don't prevent a talent from working for other promotions, but they do have restrictions in place when it comes to royalties and the like.
