Speculation persists that AEW plan to bring in 'Hardcore Legend' Mick Foley as soon as his WWE contract expires next month. However, there's also some happy to imagine that Foley could (in theory) show up as a special cameo guest on the group's Double Or Nothing 2026 pay-per-view come 24 May.

That event is set to take place in Queens, New York, which is fairly close to where Mick grew up in Long Island.

Now, Sports Illustrated reports that there would be "real" interest from Tony Khan's side in bringing the war hardened great to All Elite Wrestling. Clearly, at this stage in his life, that wouldn't be as an in-ring worker. Those days are over for Foley, and this isn't a TNA in 2008/2009 scenario, but belief is that he could contribute to the product in some capacity.

Mick isn't under a direct WWE contract. Instead, he's part of the legends wing, which keeps him on ice for cameo appearances, fan signings, action figure deals, video game involvement and things like that. He hasn't appeared on WWE TV all that often in the recent past, but the option is there if Triple H and other creative team members want to use him.

Recently, Foley criticised WWE/TKO for their links to President Donald Trump. He said it leaves a bad taste in his mouth. So, it looks like both sides are content to let his legends deal tick down - hence the AEW links.
