With AEW's latest Title Tuesday now in the books, one of the show's two title bouts saw former WWE star Lacey Lane make her AEW Dynamite.

Lane, better known to WWE fans as Kayden Carter, was the mystery opponent of AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Moné. Previously, the CEO said she would be defending her championship against somebody from Florida, and Lane fit that bill, being listed as from Winter Park, Florida.

As for the match itself, Moné picked up the win after barely nine minutes, putting a spirited Lacey Lane away with the Moné Maker. That win extends Mercedes' TBS Title reign to precisely 500 days, and has her still very much on track to surpass Jade Cargill's record-setting 508-day reign with that prize.

For Lacey Lane, it remains to be seen whether this was a one-off on AEW programming or if it will lead to something more down the line with AEW or ROH, with Lane already competing under the ROH banner twice last month: a dark match loss to Lena Kross and an HonorClub loss to ROH Interim Women's Television Champion Mina Shirakawa. A former WWE Women's Tag Team Champion, Lacey, alongside her tag partner Katana Chance, was part of WWE's May 2025 round of releases.

In the other title match at the Title Tuesday edition of Dynamite, which also doubled as a Homecoming special back at Daily's Place, AEW TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher successfully retained against Kyle O'Reilly. Elsewhere, in terms of title match implications, Kazuchika Okada and Konosuke Takeshita beat Brodido to earn themselves a future shot at the AEW Tag Team Championships.
