Roxanne Perez & Giulia Make Main Roster Moves (WWE News)
Roxanna Perez and Giulia are now reportedly part of the Raw roster.
Following consecutive appearances on WWE Raw, Roxanne Perez and Giulia appear to have been officially called up to the Monday night red brand.
As per PWInsider Elite, the Prodigy and the Beautiful Madness both wore official "Raw debut" patches on their ring gear on last week's Raw. Such patches are usually used by WWE and certain partners to mark formal main roster debuts and call-ups that will then be included in trading cards and the like. In fact, this was something highlighted at several points during WrestleMania 41, with stars wearing patches for their 'Mania appearances in addition to returning/debuting talent having similar patches for their respective, well, return or debut.
While PWInsider was working to definitely confirm these moves from NXT, the evidence here - as in, those "Raw debut" patches - indicates that both Roxanne and Giulia are now considered part of the Raw roster.
In the case of Roxanne Perez, the former two-time NXT Women's Champion had been rumoured with a main roster call-up as far back as last year, with Perez making her Raw in-ring debut in April 2024 and then wrestling a handful of matches on the main roster in the time since. Of course, once Roxanne got down to the final two of this year's women's Royal Rumble, that only intensified those expectations of a jump to Raw or SmackDown. Now, it looks like the hugely talented 23-year-old will be calling Monday nights here permanent home.
For Giulia, a main roster call-up is a little more surprising than Roxanne's. There's no doubting the incredible talent the 31-year-old has both in terms of in-ring work and sheer physical charisma, but she only made her NXT debut in September and has only competed in a WWE ring on 26 occasions. Given how WWE historically tends to let wrestlers - even the vastly experienced ones - simmer in NXT for a little while, it's intriguing to see Giulia get the main roster nod so quickly. Again though, this is somebody who is one of the best workers on the planet when afforded the opportunity.
As for this week's Raw, Roxanne Perez faced off against Rhea Ripley in a match that ended in a DQ win for the Eradicator after interference from Giulia, which in turn led to Iyo Sky hitting the ring, setting the stage for Perez & Giulia vs. Ripley & Sky in the future.
The Latest NXT Call-Ups
The post-WrestleMania fallout has so often been used by WWE to bring talents up from NXT, with some of the most memorable call-ups taking place on the Raw or SmackDown directly after a 'Mania. Case in point, Shinsuke Nakamura turning up on SmackDown in the aftermath of WrestleMania 33.
In terms of WrestleMania 41, that's been followed by the Fraxiom duo of Nathan Frazer and Axiom - arguably the best team on the planet right now - swapping NXT for SmackDown. While the Smackers commentary team did plenty to reiterate how Fraxiom were now a SmackDown act, that's not quite been the case for Roxanne Perez and Giulia on Raw as of yet. Still, PWInsider is usually bang on the money with such reports, and those "debut" patches certainly indicate Perez and Giulia are leaving NXT in their rearview mirror.
As for other main roster call-ups, recent reports note how Trick Williams is "expected" to make that move soon, with Lola Vice and Tony D'Angelo other names that have been discussed for Raw or SmackDown.
On top of this, audiences have also recently seen the WWE returns of Rusev and Aleister Black, not to mention Rey Fenix joining his brother Penta under the WWE banner only a matter of weeks ago. With those returns, the Fenix debut, and the NXT call-ups and rumoured call-ups, there's a nice element of freshness and renewed energy brought to the main roster - even if this time of the year is traditionally a tough one creatively for WWE as they move away from the shadow of WrestleMania.
