4. WWE Makes Liv Morgan Look Weak (2022)

2026 Liv Morgan is a much bigger deal than she was 4 years ago. Now, Liv could probably withstand punishing creative like she slogged through at SummerSlam 2022, but things were different back then. Fans wanted to embrace her, but WWE made that mission impossible because they also fancied appeasing Ronda Rousey.

So, on the pay-per-view, Morgan tapped out as she was pinning Ronda mid-armbar. Despite submitting, she still scored the win. Ronda apparently didn’t notice/care that her shoulders were on the mat, so she stupidly lay there as the referee counted 3. The whole deal tanked.

Liv looked out of her depth and fluky, which led to boos on coming episodes of TV when she bragged about winning. It was a bad idea all over from beginning to end. Think about this: Someone high up in the food chain believed having Morgan laugh about such a screwy finish would endear her to the core audience. How wrong were they?!

This was not the right way to build a fresh star or make Liv look like a credible player in the women's division for years to come. It says everything about her resilience and emerging star power that Morgan was able to shrug this tripe off and grow stronger. It might've destroyed a lesser performer.

For her part, Ronda had to go heel and act like some big-money MMA prize fighter to explain what had gone wrong at SummerSlam. WWE botched their handling of this bout badly, and they'll never get a pass for it.
