The WORST Moment From Every WWE WrestleMania
10. Brock Lesnar & Dean Ambrose Never Click (WrestleMania 32)
Jon Moxley has gone on to do some great stuff since leaving WWE, but a few distinctly rubbish moments stick out in fans minds when recapping his time there. Firstly, Steve Austin's angry expression when he had the then-Dean Ambrose on his WWE Network podcast show has gone down in wrestling infamy. Second, Brock Lesnar's total disinterest in doing all of the crazy CZW stuff that Mox wanted to do at WrestleMania 32.
The TV build for that ‘No Holds Barred Street Fight’ saw Ambrose meet various hardcore icons like Terry Funk and Mick Foley. They offered him tips and/or weapons he could use vs. Brock, but Lesnar never seemed to take Ambrose seriously as a threat, and Dean was disappointed when WWE refused to let him go all out with the blood and gore.
It was a poor bout, one that didn’t set Ambrose up for a WWE Title reign later in the year. The match was tamer than teased, Brock yawned his way through it, and Deano actually looked fairly goofy when flashing off mad facial expressions. He wouldn't get to use all of the toys he'd hoped to either, so those aforementioned segments with Funker and Foley? They were rendered largely meaningless.
CZW? Yeah, 'Corny Zzz Wrestling'. The live crowd in Texas really wanted to like what they were seeing, but the match was flat and lacked oomph. Ambrose and Lesnar didn't even have the excuse of a tired fanbase, because they went on 7th (4th on the main card).
No amount of horrified Paul Heyman expressions or suplexes from Brock were going to save the day.
