The WORST Moment From Every WWE WrestleMania
9. The Undertaker Falls Down (WrestleMania 33)
Anyone who was there live in Orlando for WrestleMania 33 could tell you that Roman Reigns vs. The Undertaker was an unloved and uninteresting headliner. It came at the end of a roasting hot afternoon/evening spent in the baking Florida sunshine, and it was the 13th match on the card. WWE hadn't quite mastered splitting 'Mania across multiple days in 2017.
Things wouldn't have been so bad had Reigns and 'Taker worked a tight 10-12 minutes before the finish, but they went 23 minutes and it was clear to everyone watching (both in the stadium and at home) that 'The Deadman' couldn't keep up the pace beyond the opening 10. Late on, he broke everyone's hearts by falling down during several spots.
The worst offender? His legs couldn't carry him during a Tombstone reversal. It was becoming clearer and clearer that this old warhorse needed to call time on his amazing career sooner rather than later. Sadly, there was more pain to come vs. Goldberg over in Saudi Arabia. That match almost killed either legend. No joke.
Footage of an embarrassed ‘Taker reliving this nightmare on a WWE documentary is equal parts must see and tragic. He knew it sucked, so much so that he apologised to Roman in person for his part in the match. 5 years earlier, Undertaker would've been able to do some dazzling stuff and give Reigns a main event worth toasting, but he was done in by 2017.
It was agony to watch his body fail up close and personal. WWE's camera/production crew, who are usually switched on and hide blemishes with angle cuts, couldn't mask the depressing truth.
