The WORST Moment From Every WWE WrestleMania

8. Nicholas Becomes Tag-Team Champ (WrestleMania 34)

Some have tried to defend this since it happened. Hey, each to their own, but it did make a mockery of titles workhorse wrestlers had strived to make credible, and WWE did so on its grandest stage. Braun Strowman plucking referee John Cone's 10 year old son Nicholas out of the crowd as his tag-team partner vs. Cesaro and Sheamus was...cute, but creatively regrettable.

For lil' Nic, it was bliss. He got to stroll into school shortly thereafter and brag about winning a match at WrestleMania 34 to his friends, but that's where the upsides ended. Yes, it's adorable to think of the boy proudly bragging to his class and earning maximum brownie points for it in the playground. No, it shouldn't have happened, because The Bar were doing the lord's work as a duo up until that point.

Neutering them for a cutesy pop that wasn't even that big of a pop? Outrageous.

Nicholas became the youngest person to hold WWE gold ever, and that'll probably never change. Sadly, his big (and fleeting) career moment turned Cesaro and Sheamus into a joke. They'd worked their tails off to make the Raw Tag straps something everyone could be proud of, and now here they were staring at the lights in what was effectively a handicap match for Braun.

For Sheamus, it was akin to being on the opposite side of that Daniel Bryan nightmare at 'Mania XXVIII. For Cesaro, it was yet another reminder of his standing with Vince McMahon. Sometimes, even the most adorable ideas should be left on the cutting room floor.
